- Introduction — This Privacy Policy explains how Otaku Haven Inc. collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Otaku Haven mobile app and related services. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use Otaku Haven.
- Information You Provide — When you sign up and use Otaku Haven, we collect the details you enter, including your email, password, anime alias, full name, date of birth, profile avatar, favorite anime and characters, and bio. Creators also provide business and payout information needed to sell in the Otaku Bazaar.
- Social Login Information — If you sign in with Facebook, Google, or Apple, we receive basic profile information from that service, such as your name and email, according to their permissions. We do not receive your social account password. Your use of those services is also governed by their own privacy policies.
- Content You Create — We collect the content you post, including transmissions, comments, Echoes, cosplay photos and videos, debate arguments, marketplace listings, and direct messages. This content, and the interactions around it, are stored so the app can function and display your activity.
- Automatically Collected Information — We automatically collect device and usage data, such as your device type, operating system, app version, IP address, in-app activity, XP and rank progress, and crash logs. This helps us operate, secure, and improve the app.
- How We Use Your Information — We use your information to create and manage your account, run the feed, debates, cosplay, and marketplace features, track XP and ranks, process purchases and creator payouts, personalize your experience, send notifications, moderate content, prevent fraud and abuse, show advertising, and meet legal obligations.
- Payments and Marketplace Information — When you buy or sell in the Otaku Bazaar or subscribe to a premium plan, payment is handled by our third-party payment and app-store providers. We do not store your full card details. We keep records of transactions, payouts, and subscriptions as needed to run the marketplace and meet legal and tax requirements.
- Advertising — Otaku Haven may show advertising, including through Google AdMob. Advertising partners may use device identifiers and usage data to show relevant ads. Premium users may see reduced or no advertising. You can manage ad personalization through your device settings.
- How We Share Information — We share information between buyers and sellers to complete Bazaar orders, with payment processors, advertising partners, and service providers who help operate the app, and when required by law or to protect the community. Public content such as your profile, posts, and listings is visible to other users. We do not sell your personal information.
- Your Content Is Public — Much of what you do on Otaku Haven is visible to others, including your anime profile, transmissions, cosplay posts, debate activity, and marketplace listings. Your exact number of training partners stays private, shown only as a Training Bar. Do not post information you want to keep private.
- Children and Age Requirements — Otaku Haven is not intended for children under 13, and users under the age of majority must have permission from a parent or guardian. We collect date of birth to help apply age-appropriate limits. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13 without proper consent, we will delete it. Parents who believe their child has used the app can contact us.
- Data Retention — We keep your information while your account is active and as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal, tax, and dispute obligations. Some records, such as transaction history, may be kept longer where required by law. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
- Data Security — We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Payments are handled by trusted providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
- Your Rights and Choices — You can view and edit your profile, manage notifications, control ad settings, and request account deletion in the app. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell your personal information.
- International Users — Otaku Haven may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where information is transferred across borders, we take steps to protect it as described in this policy and as required by law.
- Changes to This Policy — We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email, and the effective date below will be updated. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the update.
