- Acceptance of Terms — Welcome to Otaku Haven. By downloading, accessing, or using the Otaku Haven app, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Otaku Haven. Otaku Haven is operated by Otaku Haven Inc.
- Eligibility and Age — You must be at least 13 years old to use Otaku Haven. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the app only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms. You confirm that the information you provide, including your date of birth, is accurate.
- Your Account — You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. You agree to provide accurate information and not to impersonate others or share your account. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.
- Community Rules and Conduct — Otaku Haven is a shared community. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, infringing, or otherwise objectionable. We maintain zero tolerance for abusive behavior and objectionable content, and we may remove content and take action on accounts that break these rules.
- Content Moderation and Reporting — Any user can report content or another user through the in-app Report option, and can block other users. We review reports of objectionable content and act within 24 hours, which may include removing the content and removing or ejecting the responsible user. This helps keep the Haven safe for everyone.
- Your Content and License — You keep ownership of the content you create. By posting on Otaku Haven, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and promote that content within the app and its features. You are responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the rights to share it.
- Intellectual Property and Fan Content — Otaku Haven respects intellectual property rights. You may post fan-made content only if you have the right to do so, and you must not upload material that infringes the rights of anime studios, artists, or other owners. We respond to valid infringement notices and may remove infringing content.
- Virtual Items, XP, and Ranks — XP, ranks, badges, and other virtual rewards have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are not your property. We may adjust, reset, or remove virtual items and the rules around them at any time. Earned ranks and badges are a feature of the app, not a purchase.
- The Otaku Bazaar — The Otaku Bazaar lets creators list and sell items to other users. Otaku Haven provides the marketplace but is not the buyer or seller in these transactions. Creators are responsible for their listings, the items they sell, accurate descriptions, fulfillment, and any applicable taxes. Buyers and sellers are responsible for their own transactions.
- Fees, Payments, and Payouts — Selling in the Bazaar and premium plans involve fees, such as a platform fee on sales and subscription charges, as described in the app. Payments and payouts are handled by third-party providers. You are responsible for any taxes on your earnings. Fees and plan details may change, and we will disclose them in the app.
- Subscriptions and In-App Purchases — Otaku Haven offers optional premium subscriptions and in-app purchases through the app stores. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date, and are managed through your app store account. App-store purchase and refund policies apply in addition to these Terms.
- Disputes Between Users — Disputes over Bazaar orders or other interactions are primarily between the users involved. We may provide tools or step in to help resolve marketplace disputes, but we are not required to, and we are not responsible for the conduct of users or the quality of items sold.
- Prohibited Uses — You agree not to misuse the app. You may not use it for unlawful purposes, post false or harmful content, harass others, cheat the XP or ranking system, use bots or automated access, scrape data, interfere with security, or attempt to move marketplace payments off-platform to avoid fees.
- Third-Party Services — Otaku Haven relies on third-party services, including social login, payment processing, and advertising through providers such as Google AdMob. Your use of features powered by these services may also be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
- Disclaimer of Warranties — Otaku Haven is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about the app, its content, virtual items, or items sold in the Bazaar, and we disclaim all implied warranties.
- Limitation of Liability — To the fullest extent permitted by law, Otaku Haven Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, your content, transactions in the Bazaar, or the conduct of other users.
- Indemnification — You agree to hold Otaku Haven Inc. harmless from claims, damages, and costs arising from your content, your use of the app, your transactions, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of others.
- Termination — You may stop using Otaku Haven and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the community. Some provisions, including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, continue after termination.
- Changes to These Terms — We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email, and continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
- Governing Law — These Terms are governed by the laws of United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. (Otaku Haven Inc. to confirm governing jurisdiction with counsel.)
